After moving to Edinburgh at the start of 2019, I created this blog to talk about all things Scottish theatre.

I really want The Scottish Play to shine a light on the great range of theatre on offer throughout Scotland, from major touring productions to debuts and new writing.

I’d love to get more people involved, so do check out the get involved page if you’re interested (you don’t need to be a writer!).

Back when I lived a bit nearer to London (not that the four-and-a-bit hour train journey is too far to go for some of the West End’s new shows… but I digress), I saw loads of theatre and wrote all about it in my blog, Thespian Therapy, and for London Theatre Direct, OnStage Blog and How To Do Theatre.

My love for theatre goes a bit further back. I saw Wicked in London on the 27th March 2013… and the obsession started. I joined a local amateur dramatics group that July, helping out with props for their production of Grease, and loved everything about it. In 2014, I took to the stage for the first time in Showtime Circus (27th-29th March). Thespian Therapy was born a year later, in April 2015.

The three-and-a-bit years that followed were ace. I saw heaps of awesome shows, got really involved in am dram, wrote and directed my own small show, and blogged for three great online publications.

73 blogs and 84 reviews later, life has brought me to Edinburgh and I can’t wait to delve into all the amazing theatre that the city has to offer.

I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy writing it.
